The Scouting program at Annunciata is more than just an activity for our youth to learn about the outdoors. Scouting provides fun, fellowship, and training to our youth as well as youth in our community. It emphasizes honesty, self-reliance, and respect. The Scout Law says that a "Scout is Reverent" and Scouts of all ages promise to do their "Duty to God". These values strengthen youth character in their family, community and faith. Through a year-round program, it affects character, citizenship, and personal fitness. The success of Scouting depends on our volunteers, who serve in a variety of leadership roles so that our young people may benefit from our Scouting ministry.
Cub Scout Pack 773 holds food drives several times a year and the collections are donated to the St. Vincent DePaul Pantry at Annunciata. This year the scouts held a sock drive with their donation of 100 pairs of socks and underwear going to homeless veterans and a hat and glove drive for a shelter. The Scouts sponsor the flag retirement service along with the Knights of Columbus. Cub Scout Pack 773 organize and operate the games for kids during Annunciata Fest with proceeds being donated directly back to Annunciata as a thank you for the use of the facilities. Pack 773 are boys between the ages of Kindergarten and 5th grade who meet most every Friday evening in the Annunciata Parish Hall.
